For freshly packed slices of cheese and processed meat products we have developed two new prepack film systems which, in contrast to conventional systems, are not coated with PVDC. The first system is based on a peelable BOPP film. The second consists of a PET multilayer film; an EVOH barrier protects the food product against oxygen and allows the pack to be gas-flushed.
Our Walothen C..P film is a coextruded, biaxially oriented and one-side peelable polypropylene film developed for wrapping processed cheese slices. Its low gauge of 20, 25 or 30 microns helps reduce handling and processing costs.
