Our lidding films (top webs) safeguard the quality and freshness of food products either in modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) or in vacuum packs. The polyamide (nylon) film Bialon 65 MSL is ideal for CPET trays. It provides the desired drum effect, is temperature resistant and suitable for heating in the oven, microwave or water bath. The peelable polyester film Biaxer 65 XX AL contains a 50 micron barrier sealing layer and is the appropriate lidding stock for uncoated aluminium trays. Biaxer 65 Multipeel is designed for use with hand-held sealers to apply lids onto EPS trays for ready meals with a short shelf life.
Laser engraving is an option we offer, enabling easy-opening features or valves to be integrated into the top webs. Excess pressure inside the pack can escape via predetermined breaking points in the film. These “valves” allow the food to heat up evenly during gentle steam cooking in the microwave.
