Overwrap range with high barrier properties
The soft primary bag normally requires a secondary packaging (overwrap). Due to their poor barrier properties PVC primary packs, in particular, need an overwrap to provide an additional barrier against water vapour transmission. IV solutions require an extremely high barrier against oxygen and other gases. If the primary packaging is steam-sterilized, the ovewrap keeps the outside sterile. For hygienic presentation a dust cover and shipping packaging are also required.
